Which one is right for you?

The difference between a speedboat and a catamaran isn't just size. This is what really changes.

🛥️

Speedboat

Small groups who want to get to the islands fast

Guests8 to 35

In the fleet37

The good. The fastest and the most affordable. You reach the Rosario Islands in 45 minutes and have the whole day there.

Keep in mind. Little shade and little room to move around. For a group spending eight hours on board it can feel tight.

⛵

Catamaran

Large groups, parties, weddings and events

Guests16 to 180

In the fleet15

The good. Space, shade and stability. The only one that handles really big groups, with bathrooms, a bar and a covered area.

Keep in mind. It's slower. If the plan is to reach the islands early and make the most of the day, you lose time on the way.

🛳️

Yacht

Comfort and privacy over price

Guests10 to 35

In the fleet9

The good. Air-conditioned cabins, full bathrooms and luxury finishes. Fast and comfortable at once, which nothing else offers.

Keep in mind. The most expensive option, and capacity is usually lower than a catamaran at the same price.

⛵

Sailboat

Sunsets, couples, and anyone who wants to actually sail

Guests12 to 50

In the fleet2

The good. Sailing in silence, without an engine, is a different experience. For a sunset in the bay there's nothing like it.

Keep in mind. Slow, and it depends on the wind. Not the option if the plan is a round trip to the islands in one day.

What's included

  • Captain and deckhand

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to rent a boat in Cartagena?

It depends on the boat, the group size and the date. Captain, deckhand and fuel are always included. Send us your date and group size on WhatsApp and we'll quote the exact amount for the boats that suit you.

Can I pay in US dollars?

Prices are in Colombian pesos. You can pay by international card, and we'll tell you the dollar amount at the day's rate before you confirm.

Is it safe? Is this a real company?

Yes. Nautical Eventos is a registered Colombian tour operator (RNT) based in Cartagena, with an office in Manga. Every captain holds a valid DIMAR license, the Colombian maritime authority. You'll know the exact boat and crew before you pay.

What if it rains?

Rain in Cartagena is usually short. If the Port Authority closes the harbour for bad weather, we reschedule at no cost for a date that works for you.

How far in advance should I book?

In low season, two or three days is enough. In December, Easter week and long weekends, the good boats go weeks ahead. If you already have your date, write today.

Can we bring our own food and drinks?

Yes. We can also arrange the open bar and catering if you'd rather not carry anything.

Tell us your plan
